The drama “Lie After Lie” achieves another milestone in Channel A history as it breaks its record for the highest drama viewership ratings!
The suspense-romance drama, on September 25, soared to new heights with its highest viewership to date. According to Nielsen Korea, the eighth episode of “Lie After Lie” scored an average rating of 5.1 percent in the Seoul metropolitan area and 4.5 percent nationwide.
Channel A’s “Lie After Lie” did not only do their ratings mark a new all-time high, but they also managed to break the hit drama’s record for the highest ratings ever achieved by any Channel A drama to date.
“Lie After Lie” follows the story of Ji Eun Soo (played by Lee Yoo Ri), a woman who puts her life on the line with a dangerous lie to be reunited with her biological daughter. She then finds herself branded a husband-killer in the blink of an eye after marrying into a chaebol family. During her imprisonment for her husband’s murder, she loses custody of her daughter.
Meanwhile, enjoying a rise in viewership from its previous episode the night before is SBS’s “Alice,” scoring average nationwide ratings of 7.0 percent and 8.7 percent for its two parts.
“Homemade Love Story,” a KBS 2TV’s new weekend drama which aired its third episode last night, held firm as the most-watched drama of the evening with average nationwide ratings of 19.7 percent and 23.0 percent for its two parts.
OCN’s “Missing: The Other Side,” after a one-week hiatus, scored an average nationwide rating of 3.0 percent after resuming its airing. At the same time, achieving an average rating of 7.2 percent for the night is tvN’s “Forest of Secrets 2.”
Lastly, the new romance drama of JTBC, “More Than Friends,” scored an average nationwide rating of 1.4 percent for its second episode.
